Job Description: Industrial Insulation Fitter
The Industrial Insulation Fitter is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing insulation on
equipment, pipes, ductwork, and other mechanical systems to prevent heat loss or gain, maintain
temperature control, and protect against fire, noise, and corrosion. The ideal candidate will have a
strong understanding of insulation materials and techniques, excellent attention to detail, and a
commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Measure and cut insulation materials to fit pipes, ductwork, and equipment using hand
tools and power tools. Install insulation around pipes, boilers, tanks, and other industrial equipment. - Maintenance and Repair: Inspect insulation systems to identify areas that need repair or
replacement. Perform necessary maintenance and repairs to ensure insulation systems function
effectively. - Material Handling: Select appropriate insulation materials based on specifications and
environmental conditions. Handle and store insulation materials safely. - Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe working
environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. - Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the
correct installation methods and materials required. - Quality Control: Ensure all work meets the company’s quality standards and project specifications.
Perform quality checks and report any discrepancies. - Collaboration: Work closely with other trades, including pipefitters, welders, and engineers, to
ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
Skills: - Proficiency with hand and power tools used in insulation installation and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of different types of insulation materials and their applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical condition and the ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Communicative English.
- Driver’s license B; own car would be a plus.
- VCA would also be a plus.
€600-€650 net. after all expenses such as: accommodation, insurance and taxes.
