Job description: Construction painter / preserver
As a construction painter / preserver, you will be safely coating industrial products and
constructions. You will treat the surfaces of industrial metal constructions and thereby maximally
protect these against early degradation or corrosion by first preparing the surface. You will work in
accordance with job tickets, whereby material choice, thickness and composition have been
determined. The finishing layer is applied with a brush and/or roller and you will organise a final
inspection once your work has been completed.
The construction painter / preserver will be working at various different customer sites. Experience
with, and knowledge of, appropriate protective measures is of major importance, as the work will
involve chemicals.
Tasks:
The construction painter / preserver is tasked with carrying out painting activities, including
preparatory activities, in accordance with requirements and instructions provided by the managers;
-You will correctly and safely use machines, equipment, dyes and other (hazardous) substances;
-You will independently carry out interim quality inspections;
-You will always make sure the workplace is left clean and tidy after completion of your activities;
-You will strictly abide by the prescribed (work) procedures and will carry out the work in accordance
with the applicable safety regulations and legal guidelines.
Experience needed:
-Construction painting / preserving;
-Chipping;
-Cleaning and repairing (concrete) constructions;
-Burning off old paint layers;
Skills:
-In possession of a valid VCA certificate or prepared to achieve this in the short term;
-In possession of a valid driving licence; Own car would be a plus.
-Good physical condition;
-Working under changing weather conditions;
-No fear of heights;
-Good communication skills in English;
-A few years of experience as a construction painter / preserver;
-Able to work both independently, as well as being an effective part of a team.
€600-€650 net. after all expenses such as: accommodation, insurance and taxes.
